What IS a CSA?
'CSA' stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A CSA Farm Share is a season-long agreement between a farmer and a customer that ensures the farmer makes a livable wage and the consumer receives a bounty of vegetables each week during the growing season. How ours works
Sign up by May 31st at the latest. We anticipate selling out waaay before that, so don't delay! You can buy a share here on the online store , or contact us via phone or email if you want to send a check or pay with cash. You need to get money in our hands soon to hold your place.
We appreciate payment in full at the time of purchase, but if this is not possible, please contact us to work out a payment plan. At the least, we will ask that you pay monthly.

Q: How many people will one share feed?
A: it really depends! We surveyed our 2020 CSA customers and the most common answer was 3-4 people. But if eat a produce-heavy diet, it might just feed two of you, and if you eat veggies more lightly, it might feed your 6 person family!
Q: Are there smaller shares for sale?
A: Nope, sorry. We considered this for 2021, but one of the things that really makes the CSA awesome for us is the streamlined box packing (because they are all the same) and minimal record keeping. If you are a couple or single person interested in the program, we strongly recommend "sharing the share". Talk to your neighbors, friends, or family to see if they might be interested in splitting the box with you. You can each pick up every other week (easier) or split what's in each box- up to you! If you need to find a match, let us know and we will try to find someone to split it with you.
Q: Can we get more of things we love and less of things we don't?
A: Not really. As mentioned above, what makes this possible for us is the fact that all of the shares are the same. There is a cool idea out there where we would leave an "exchange box" at the pickup, and if there's something you don't want, you can trade it for something that is in the box (that someone else left). We didn't try this in 2020 due to the pandemic, but now that we know more about how Covid is transmitted and how it's NOT transmitted, we would consider trying it this year "at your own risk".
Some ways CSAs are awesome:
Customers get a steady supply of the freshest, healthiest, most grown-with-love-est vegetables anyone has ever seen
Growers can be assured of a market for their produce; a huge benefit to us, especially in these uncertain times.
Affordability; by eliminating the middle man, customers get more food at a lower price; plus the produce is so fresh that you won't believe how long it lasts and how little you waste. Also, we keep close track of our boxes and make sure you make out with more produce than you paid for. If you've ever bought our bunches of kale or chard, you know that we like to make sure our people are well fed. Shares may seem small in June, but trust us...it will all even out (plus some) as the season progresses.
Know where your food comes from. We are a small family, and we care more than you know about the quality of our soil, and thus the quality of our food. We love what we do, and we think our love comes through in the food. Hopefully it will sneak out of you and keep circulating though our community and out into the world beyond!
